Messy - The Sophomore EP from Angela Wrigley Trio

Available Now!

The much-anticipated sophomore release from the Angela Wrigley Trio incorporates everything that makes love, life and music, “Messy.”

The new EP includes one original composition, entitled ‘Get Out’ which was written from a very personal place by bandleader Angela Wrigley.  A happier outlook is explored from a composition by Toronto based composer Chelsea McBride. ‘Something Simple’ was originally arranged for bigband by Chelsea but newly arranged by Angela for the trio. The one jazz standard on the EP is an odd-time arrangement of the beautiful ballad, ‘If I Should Lose You’.

The EP is completed with a cover of Michael Jackson's ‘Billie Jean,’ arranged with more than just a hint to the Miles Davis standard 'All Blues'.

All of these songs very personally speak to the concept of “Sometimes, life is messy.”
